Indigo is a pleasant blend of modern architecture from the hands of noted Chilean architect Sebastián Irarrázaval who has a passion for the landscape of Patagonia. The three owners are Chilean, French and Spanish making it a cosmopolitan mix of the best of hospitality from these countries. The rooms are around a huge central square, itself divided by an impressive vertical curtain made of eucalyptus. An ingenious and pleasing system of bridges, ramps and staircases allow an interesting circulation inside the building and access to the rooms. The rooms interiors are intimate - a nice contrast to the grandeur of the outer space. The views of Patagonia are always visible from the interiors. There are twenty nine rooms, most of which face the Fjord of "Last Hope" and Glacier Balmaceda. Five rooms have views of the Dorotea Sierra and the picturesque town of Puerto Natales. There is a suite with its own fireplace and hot-tub overlooking the fjord. Located on the top-floor of the building, the Spa is a genuine treat for the senses: there are three outdoor jacuzzis, two massage rooms with staff offering treatments ranging from a simple after-hiking relaxation to a full red algues massage. There is also a large sauna, everything with the omnipresent view of Patagonia's spectacular scenery. Mama Rosa Restaurant specialises in baking pastries and exquisite home food, but the fresh kingcrab from the fjords, served as it is on a sesame crisp with an avocado emulsion is higly recommended. Think about taking advantage of this special: Classic Patagonia tour (4 days) - a short but thorough stay in Patagonia. Day 1: Pick up from Punta Arenas airport, and private transfer to Puerto Natales, through a scenic route (3h). Dinner and night in Indigo.Day 2: Full day in Torres del Paine national park: departure early in the morning in order to make the most out of this day exploring the highlights of the park: Grey Glacier, lakes, waterfalls, and of course the famous Torres from the distance. Lunch in front of Grey Glacier. Back to Indigo in the evening and dinner out in Puerto Natales.Day 3: Glacier cruise: the typical cutter “21 de mayo” will sail you through the fjord to the feet of the impressive mount Balmaceda. There a mini trek will lead you to the Serrano Galcier and its lake full of icebergs. On the way back the boats stops in Estancia Perales, an historical ranch, where a classic Patagonian barbecue awaits you. Back to Indigo in the evening, straight to SPA for an hour massage. Dinner in Indigo. Day 4: Transfer back to Punta Arenas airport, departure depending on your flight time. Price: CLP 515.000 / USD 1,030 per person, all inclusive except flights.
